There are 2 parallel stories one is of Mahishasura & the other is Of King Ravana
Navratri to Vijaydashmi is not merely a festival of rituals fasting or celebration. It is a cosmic journey of the mind body and soul . A time when the divine feminine that is Shakti awakens in the universe and in every heart. For nine nights Maa appears in many forms as Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati Kali . Guiding us towards courage wisdom and abundance. Each form of the Maa carries a lesson a mirror reflecting our own inner battles, our fears, desires and aspirations.
The Stories go like this :
Mahishasura was the buffalo demon who was born with the blessing that no man or Devata could defeat him, so his heart grew arrogant proud and cruel.
He unleashed terror across the heavens and the earth spreading darkness wherever he roamed. He was not merely a demon physically, but he embodied ego, arrogance, greed and ignorance in all living beings when unchecked. The Devatas felt powerless against his strength they came together and invoked the energy of Shakti. From their collective power Devi Durga emerged as radiant and fierce strength riding a lion armed with weapons gifted by each deity.
For nine nights Maa Durga fought Mahishasura. Each battle was a reflection of the inner struggle every human faces. Resisting fear, confronting anger, letting go of attachments and transforming ignorance into wisdom. Imagine the clashes the roar of the lion the divine weapons the dance of power and will. Each strike of Maa Durga was a victory over darkness in the world and within. On the tenth day that is Dashmi called as Vijaya Dashami she pierced
Mahishasuras heart
ending the evil and restoring balance and dharma in the universe. This is not merely a mythological event it is a timeless lesson. That when courage devotion and right actions combine no darkness inside or outside can prevail.
On that same day another story unfolds of Bhagwaan Shri Ram who got victory over Ravana.
Ravana is depicted in Ramayana as the ten headed who was a King of Sone ki Lanka was a Prakadh Pandit and a Bhavat of Bhagwan Shiv. But his ego, desire obsession & illusion again with arrogance along with power made him blind. Now here blind is just not that the person cannot see what’s in front. But Blind is when one has eyes but the sense of sight about the future or righteousness is covered by Maya. He kidnapped Maa Sita and wanted to test the universe and challenged Dharma itself. The result was Lord Vishnu had to take Avtar as Shri Ram the embodiment of righteousness truth and virtue. But Shree Ram alone an avatar of Dharma alone cannot overcome such darkness. Till the blessings of Shakti is there. And Rudra Avtar Hanuman who is an Avtar of Bhagwan Shiva who is Ardhanareeswarar a combination of Shiv and Shakti incarcerated as Lord Hanuman the embodiment of devotion courage and selfless energy carried the power of Shakti into every step of the battle.

The ten heads of Ravana symbolize the ten vices I.e pride, ego, desire, anger, greed, attachment, envy, jealousy, laziness and illusion. Each arrow of Lord Rama powered by divine Shakti conquered one aspect teaching humanity that every illusion can be overcome when action is guided by Shakti and Dharma.
Just for 5 mins. Imagine Maa Durga riding her lion her weapons gleaming her eyes fierce yet compassionate as she faces Mahishasura. Now imagine Shri Ram on the battlefield bow drawn arrows guided by Shakti striking each head of Ravana with precision. Now imagine these stories not as myths but living within you. Each time you have struggled with fear, anger, ego, doubt is an aspect of Mahishasura or Ravana. Feel the power of the mother coursing through you her courage awakening in your chest. Feel yourself picking up the bow of dharma aiming at your inner Ravana's and letting your arrow strike. By the time the sun rises on Dashami your heart is full of courage clarity and liberation.
You have not just witnessed victory, but u have tried to overcome all the obstacles challenges and illusions…….
Vijaya Dashami the day of victory is not only about defeating external demons. It is about experiencing how to overcome and gain victory within. By Dashami the energy of Navratri the courage, clarity, devotion, and wisdom cultivated over nine nights flows into our hearts.
